There are a variety of groups that operate within a school system. Each group has desires and needs which require volunteers as well as funds. At Compass, we strive to involve families without creating a stress or burden on the family. The idea behind events is to provide an opportunity for families and/or students to be involved and build community. Fundraising, although necessary, can cause a burden on families. This is why Compass has identified specific events as fundraisers and limits fundraising within our athletic department, clubs, and other school organizations.

We determine and make available our Annual Events Calendar at the beginning of each school year in order to allow families time to plan and determine what events/fundraisers they would like to participate in.

Most events are considered in the spring before a new school year as we plan the Annual Events. Any new activity/project to be considered during the school year must go through multiple approval steps. Requests of new activities/projects should be made a minimum of 3 weeks in advance of the planned activity/project.
