Beginning
Band Every Monday, a signed practice
record is due. Students are required to practice 30 minutes during the
week/weekend and turn in their practice log signed by a parent. Each
week, band members are given a performance grade on songs from their
band book.
Intermediate Band Remember - 30 minutes of
documented practice time is due (signed by a parent) every Monday.

Hello! My name is Brenda Choate and I teach vocal and instrumental
music classes for grades K-11. I have been teaching over half of my
life and have worked with students from Kindergarten through college and
beyond. I have received a Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree and
Teaching Certification from schools in Kansas where I lived and taught for
over twenty years. This marks my fifth year as Music Instructor at
Compass and I love going to work everyday. I have been married for 26
years and have four boys who keep me very busy with various sporting events
year round. As a family, we love to fish, camp, golf, and hang out
around the pool!
