“Hello! I’m Cindy Stroud, and I am a fourth grade teacher at Compass
Public Charter School. I love teaching using the Harbor Method, and look
forward to coming to work each day. My background includes being a stay
at home mom, running a small business from home, and later, writing for
a newspaper. I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications/Journalism
from Southern Oregon University. I later completed a teacher
credentialing program on the Central Coast of California and taught
Remedial Reading to primary students. I fell in love with teaching and
later moved to Idaho in 2001 with my husband, Alan and daughter, Amy.
FOURTH GRADE
Spelling:
One assignment due each day Tuesday through Friday (See Spelling List
above) Reading:
Read a minimum of 20 minutes each night. Be sure to sign or initial the
Student Planner in the section labeled Reading. (should be at least 100
minutes per week.) New reading goals sheet sent. If student has set
reading goal higher, please sign the Reading Log also. Math:
Practice Multiplication Facts for 5-10 minutes each night. Saxon Math -
Assignments made in Weekly Homework letter (See Weekly Homework letter
above)
