In-class participation, daily homework assignments, chapter tests, and a comprehensive final exam will be used to assess how well students achieve the course objectives. Daily homework assignments and in-class participation will be used as formative assessments measuring students’ emerging understanding of concepts. Chapter tests and final exam will be used as summative assessments measuring students’ mastery of concepts. These assessments plus informal feedback and student evaluations will be analyzed to help improve curriculum and instruction for the course.
