Course Description:
Geometry is the application of algebraic concepts in terms of geometric figures, thus it includes the extensive study of the triangle, parallel lines, constructions, formal proof, the Pythagorean Theorem, polygons, circles, two and three dimensional relationships, proportions, area, volume, trigonometry, and applications to mathematical formulas.

Grading Procedure:
Grades will be calculated on a point system. Daily homework is worth 10 points; weekly tests are worth 60 points. Points for special projects or worksheets will be determined by the length and complexity of the assignment. (Point distributions are subject to change at the instructor’s discretion.) Your grade will be the percent of points you earn out of the total points in the course and will be assigned on the following scale:

· A 100-90%

B 89-80% Homework is approximately 40% of grade
·
C 79-70%
·
D 69-60% Tests are approximately 60% of grade
·
F 59% and below

Hello, my name is Linette Gregg and I teach mathematics at Compass Honors High School.  I am so excited by teaching and interacting with students that it is a joy to come to work each day!  My teaching experience includes 14 years at Hagerman High School, 5 years at Filer High School, and 4 years as Dual Credit Instructor for College of Southern Idaho.  I am also a member of the Adjunct Math Faculty for College of Western Idaho and am happy to be teaching dual credit courses for CWI at Compass.  This year is going to be a great one!
