Without these documents, registration will be incomplete and your student cannot attend school until registration is complete. Note: Records will be transferred from their previous school but will not arrive in time for registration.

New Student Registration Information
Please plan to attend a parent orientation meeting held at Compass Public Charter School on May 13^th from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. for parents of new students in grades 1-10. Please note that this meeting is for parents only, there will be a new student orientation June 5^th from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. for grades 1-10.

This meeting will give you an opportunity to learn more about the Harbor Method of Instruction and school operations for the 2008-2009 school year. It is also a good time for you to get answers to some of the questions you may have. Registration forms will be available at the meeting and you may drop off completed forms as well.

Registration Details
These instructions are for students who have never attended Compass and have been notified that they were drawn in the lottery to begin school in the fall of 2008 (not students on the waiting list).

Kindergarten: There will be one registration on June 10. Registration for students whose last name begins with A-L will register at 10:00; M-Z will register at 11:00. While parents complete the registration packet, incoming kindergarten students will participate in fun activities that will serve as an evaluation of each child’s learning skills. Following the registration/evaluation, parents will be provided with suggestions for working with their child over the summer in preparation for starting school in the fall.
Grades 1 – 10: Open registration will be June 10 from
1 p.m. - 6 p.m., June 11 - 12 from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Special Education (IEP or 504) considerations: In the best interest of your child, please contact Dr. Barbara Brown, Special Education Director, or Kelly Trudeau, Administrator, prior to May 23^rd to discuss your child’s special education needs.
